- Unnatürliche Haltungen sind ein Risikofaktor für das Entstehen von Beschwerden an Handgelenken und Unterarmen (vgl. Karlqvist 1994 vgl. Jensen 1998 vgl. Hagberg 1994). Wird die Maus näher am Körper platziert ist dies weniger belastend für den Nacken und die Schultern (vgl. Armstrom 1995 vgl. Cook 1998). Die vertikale Position der Hand verhindert bei der Evoluent-Maus das Verdrehen des Unterarmes und erhöht so die Produktivität bei der Computerarbeit.

- Not passing Windows testing
- When warning messages about the driver not passing Windows testing appear during installation, click Continue Anyway. The driver works perfectly in the vast majority of Windows systems. For maximum safety, cancel the installation, go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore, set a restore point, and install the driver. If any problem occurs after the installation, the system can be restored to the point prior to the installation by using System Restore
- On which operating systems can the Evoluent4 be used?
- Windows
▪ Includes driver for Windows XP, Vista and Win 7 in 32/64 bit for programming all 6 buttons. The driver is not required. The VerticalMouse 4 still has basic functionality without it.
▪ USB only; not compatible with PS2 adapters. May be compatible with some USB KVM switches but it is not guaranteed.
Mac
▪ Drivers available OS X 10.5 or OS X 10.6 or newer.
Linux
▪ Basic functionality without a driver.
Unix
▪ Compatibility unknown. - The driver is installed but the button programming does not work
- The user probably installed the wrong driver, probably the VM3 driver.
Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs to remove the driver. Install the correct VM4 driver for Win 7 32 bit or 64 bit (we can send you the drivers a attachment).
The mouse must be plugged into the same port all the time. Do not change ports after installing the driver, otherwise the driver won't work. - The minimum hand size for an Evoluent 4; ( Smaller hands may improve the Evoluent 4 Small)
- What are the default button functions in Windows when the Evoluent driver is not installed?
- • Top button - left click
• Wheel button - forward
• Middle button - middle click (only recognized by some applications)
• Bottom button - right click
• Top thumb button - back
• Bottom thumb button - no function without driver - Why is the pointer moving by itself?
- A reflective surface may cause pointer drift. Put the Evoluent Mouse on a non reflective mouse pad.
